Say hello to Lillian Dove, a discount liquor store clerk battling to stay out of mayhem. And keep herself from opening a bottle of Absolut.

Lillian has a hard time letting go her old ways. It’s not so much the drinking. Sobriety has been easy. It’s that she still gets in trouble even though she knows better; continues her obstinate,  stubborn defenses, and has a weakness for Pepsi, chocolate, and the type of men she worries are the “wrong type”—but the most exciting.

She lives in Frytown, Iowa, a small burg where everyone knows everyone’s business and has an opinion on it.  She struggles to care for her convalescent mother, as stubborn as she. And her first job in town is as a Communications Facilitator (lobby receptionist) for the Frytown Police Department.

Admit to Mayhem, Lillian’s first step to doing it differently, finds her stopping to rescue someone trapped in a house fire. Only to end up having the good samaritan act finger her as the only eye-witness to arson and murder—and to run for her life.

Murder, Mayhem, Romantic Comedy, the Lillian Dove Series provides reading entertainment and invigorating deliberations on life.
