Just as her social life was improving, high school sophomore Ella Sizemore discovers two kilos of cocaine in her kitchen. With the long list of enemies she’s attracted since becoming a muse, finding the culprit who planted it will be difficult.

Ignatius, Ella’s dragon familiar, isn’t much help. He’s suffering withdrawal from being shut out of the Realms of Inspiration. Ella must now travel there alone and dodge the many snares set for her by Lady Vengeance and Lord Treachery. With all the troubles at home, her good luck in the Realms does not hold and Ella is soon in the strange position of needing to be rescued. It is up to Ignatius to find a new muse who can cross the barrier and find her before she is trapped there forever.
