Angie Anderson was the happiest she had ever been, married to the love of her life, Jerome “Andy” Anderson, a world renown genetic researcher at Stanford University. Angie was a tenured professor there. They were discussing having a child. Suddenly, all hell broke loose.

Andy didn’t come home - his disappearance was ruled a suicide. Then Caleb Matthews, a homicide detective from Denver, whose father had been Andy’s mentor fifteen years ago, came to see Angie, telling her a tale of his own father’s mysterious disappearance fifteen years ago. He had reason to believe his father had been kidnapped and possibly murdered. Now, he believed the same thing had happened to Andy. He wanted some info from Angie before going to Amsterdam to begin a murder investigation.

Angie told him about her friend, Siobhan Callahan, an Interpol agent from Dublin. Angie had lived with the Callahan family while doing a study abroad program at Trinity College. Caleb agreed to meet with Siobhan in Dublin. Two days later, they teamed up to fight the Army of God.
