The Other-Realm is an ever-changing world of creativity, fear, vices, and mayhem which runs parallel to the Rigid-Plane (The world of humans). The beings in the Other-Realm live as complements to the Rigid-Plane; they are the products of the mind which take on a life of their own.
In a time when both worlds find themselves in peril, a young woman with the ability to take the shape of whatever or whomever she chooses finds herself in the Other-Realm's unforgiving Desert without a memory. Upon escaping the harsh sun and sand, she soon realizes she is being haunted by something from her lost past.
Years later, having found shelter and friendship, the nameless Shape Shifter saves the life of a strange, young human boy named Owen, lost in the Forest. Now she must journey to the Rigid-Plane and return the Owen to his body.
But the world of humans proves to be more perilous than her own. Run by the power-hungry and infested with the most terrible of vices, the humans in the Rigid-Plane are collapsing under the weight of their own misery and subservience.
The Shape Shifter soon realizes that this journey is not just about finding Owen: it is about realizing her role in this world, facing her Nightmare, and finding the frightening secret of her name.
