Courage of a Vampire

This a humorous and creepy tale of a vampire searching for her identity.

Maggie Brandon is a vampire who spends her teenage years adjusting to the killing of small animals in order to avoid hospitals and transfusions.  When she makes her first kill, a bully on the school bus, she will never be sated again unless she can replenish herself with human blood.  And when she goes to college, she stumbles upon a pack of vampire groupies where she can hide in plain sight.  However, she loses the love of her life when she accidentally falls into an abandoned train tunnel and sleeps for ten years.  When she awakes, she seeks help from her family and finds work in Charleston, SC, where she can stalk her former lover.  But when she meets the brilliant Russell Byron, a pharmaceutical researcher and CEO, she agrees to help him in his laboratory trials in his quest for youthful immortality.
