A New Adult Romantic Suspense

Finished with her first year at Cambridge University, nineteen-year-old Holly Pepper returns home for the summer. With her friends off travelling and her parents away, she's convinced she's in for a boring, uneventful summer.

She couldn't be further from the truth.

Home alone, she's awoken one night by the sounds of a break-in. When one of the burglars realises the house isn't empty and spots her, Holly thinks she's had it. But the boy lets her go.

Intrigued by this beautiful, mysterious boy, Holly's unable to get him off her mind. As if by fate, he turns up on her doorstep the following day, offering to help her clean up the mess he made. At first, Holly's wary of the boy, Ryder, but as they spend more time together she begins to see him in a different light.

He's rough around the edges, and his tough upbringing has made him guarded and volatile. Holly's prepared to overlook this; she likes Ryder, even if he's a little odd, even if he's different...

But as she gets entangled in Ryder's world, and he in hers, Holly soon realises that different might not just mean different, it could also mean dangerous.

**Recommended for ages 17+ due to sexual content and strong language**

**This is a short novel of 45,000 words**
