I stepped off the elevator, our gazes met, and the floor shifted under me. We shook hands, his touch seared my skin, and his smile rendered me breathless.
I should have known it would not be simple...but is it impossible?
Leandro and I are not the norm and the force that brings us together, cannot be contained with menial words and by chance encounters. It was birthed by gravity, fed by promises, tortured by loyalty, and unleashed by trust.
In our gray world, danger stalks, death conspires, and tragedy awaits. What we are—who we are to each other—is simple in its raw quality and bound by complications.
Consumed by each other. Condemned if we stay apart.
