Enigma

No one knew Sarah was a pyromaniac and that was just how she wanted it. No one paid her any attention; not her family or even the people she passed on the street night after night. People never looked her in the eye, until one day someone did: Kyle King, a farm boy from the tiny town of Mullen, Nebraska where Sarah had hitched a ride to on her way to California. She was just there for the summer to earn a few dollars working the land and then she’d be off to find a new life. A different one. A better one. She had no plans on getting attached to Mullen, or to Kyle. He couldn’t get close; she couldn’t allow it. There was too much that needed to stay buried about her life...about her addition to the flame. But some things refuse to stay hidden in the shadows for long.
