The life of Queen Esther bears greater significance for us than simply her reign as an historical queen. Her request before the king should be the cry of God's leaders for the Church today. To fulfill His purposes in the earth, God must have sons and daughters who:
- Demonstrate the heart attitude of Esther's plea, "If it please the king..."
- Display the same courage of Esther's declaration, "If I perish, I perish."
- Determine to respond to the piercing question, "Who knows whether you have been brought to the kingdom for such a time as this?"
