What would you do given the chance to become your own hero? Brian Paul, pilot and World War II aviation enthusiast, finds himself catapulted back to an American fighter base in wartime England, where his unwitting hosts think hes the replacement pilot theyd been expecting. Brian manages to assimilate himself into their world, even finding romance with a local English girl. Can he come back to his own time? Or, if given the choice would he? Brian lives, learns, and even falls in love, all against the urgent, peculiar backdrop of a world at war.
