Is It Okay To Pray In Tongues In Church? Fifty days after the resurrection of Jesus, God began His New Testament Church with an event that has caused controversy ever since. We need to stop allowing the unbelievers and uninformed to dictate how the church is to operate and allow God to be in charge. The Day of Pentecost was the day the earthly ministry of Jesus ended and the earthly ministry of the Holy Spirit began. It's the power of God that Satan has no control of and it's the most powerful weapon the Church has against spiritual wickedness in high places.
