Andrew Lang was a Scottish prolific author, mostly known as the collector of folk and fairy tales. “Madschun" is a Turkish fairy tale entered in “The Olive Fairy Book”, that was published in 1907. There lives a young man who, even from childhood, has had no hair. One day, he sees the Sultan's daughter and become determined to marry her. He first sends his mother to tell the Sultan that her son wants to marry his daughter. The Sultan is intrigued by the request, and tells the woman to send her son. However, by the time the son arrives, the Sultan's interest has waned, and he only wants to rid of the boy. So the Sultan begins to encharge the boy with an impracticable tasks, but in the end the young man will pull through the tasks and marry the princess. How? Read the story to know!
