Barbara J. Tierney has been writing poetry most of her life She has the ability to transpose any situation into rhyming quatrains for friends and family. Many, for years, at the holiday season, have been recipients of her annual rhyming poems and photographic color collages This particular collection of poems is written exclusively in answer to her own muse. It represents seven decades of her life highlighting areas where she has lived and traveled throughout the world. Born in St. Paul, Minnesota, and a graduate of the University of Minnesota in 1962 she has resided in California, Arizona, and recently Vermont, where she lived with her children for more than three decades in an old sawmill built in 1766 and now on the National Historic Register . While living in New England her work as a photo journalist and freelance writer was featured in three newspapers. She also owned and was sole proprietor of two small businesses featuring the crafts of juried artisans. Her descriptive brochures included her writing in addition to the photographic artwork.
