Survivors' Dreams

A hundred-years before, Kra'aken warriors raided Earth. Now the Terrans come to extract revenge for their losses, killing every Kra'aken citizen and decimating their homeworld. Prince Helrazr is a starfighter pilot whose ship is severely damaged in the final attack. Wounded and unconscious, his ship tumbles through an alien portal, unknown and uncharted by Kra'aken scientists. Maintained in stasis for 150 years, in a galaxy far from his own, the prince awakens to find he has no way to return home. His mission: to find Kra'aken survivors. Or die. Lady Rak'khiel, one of many Kra'aken children placed in stasis, in survival cocoons, also passes through the hidden portal. Her damaged craft crashes on Olica, a primitive world ruled by Kra'aken's deadliest enemies. Found by a childless woman who hides the toddler from those who would kill her, the girl grows to puberty unaware of her true heritage or of the danger that surrounds her. The two survivors meet as Rak'khiel is simultaneously changing into a Kra'aken adult and fleeing for her life. Although she desperately needs the prince's help, their alliance is fragile - complicated by the social differences which may turn them against each other and laden with perils that the two young people may not survive.
