The winged variant of the bydus volkus family is called: tessila. Though less than two inches long in the body, tessili are known to be territorial, volatile, and possessive of their human partners. A human who bonds a tessila will gain the ability to wield both active and passive magics.

Jey and Elle are no longer students at Tessili Academy, but the outside world is not the safe haven they imagined. Hunted by hounds and tracked by their former classmates, Jey and Elle are in constant danger. Worse, they have discovered the brillbane their tessili need to survive only grows within the academy walls.

As winter sets in, their tessili have grown thin, temperamental, and erratic. When a mysterious young man with a tessila of his own finds them and seems to offer both help and friendship, the girls fear he’s too good to be true.

They are faced with a choice. Trust the stranger and hope he doesn't betray them? Or continue to try to scrape by in a hostile world on their own.

---

"The story, and the characters are really coming into their own."

Tessili Rogue is an epic fantasy novella set in the magical world of Bydaira. It is the second book in Chronicles of the Tessilari which continues with Tessili Revenge. This series precedes the Annals of the Brinlocks trilogy, which is set in the same world.
