In three interlocking stories, Dinika Amaral explores the fantasy and frustrations of post-colonial India. Weaving together the experiences of western visitors, the bustle of a contemporary Bombay marketplace, and figures from sacred Hindu texts, Amaral offers a mercurial, dreamlike vision of Bombay in the twenty-first century: ancient, global, chaotic, dazzling.

Dinika Amaral was raised in Bombay, India. She has an M.A. and M.F.A from New York University. She has published in the Times of India, Golden Handcuffs Review, Guernica, Denver Quarterly, Hayden Ferry Review, and the Iowa Review (winner of the Tim McGinnis award and a Pushcart nominee). She is a writing coach at New York University's Stern School of Business and at Santa Clara University's Leavey School of Business.

"Dinika Amaral is as good as can be imagined. I am sure this story will be received to thunderous applause--and with good reason." --Darin Strauss, author of Chang and Eng and Half a Life
