The Cross and the Way of Life

"It is a very great thing to which we are called, and it is a night much to be remembered when that breaks upon us! But we have got to realize that it is all secured unto us by the Cross of the Lord Jesus and believe that this present stage or phase or position is not all that God means. God means much more than this, so we gird our loins; we take our staff and we say, “We believe that; we are going on into that by the grace of God. We will not linger any longer in this whether it be good or better, which is not God’s best.” "There are yet fullnesses to which the Lord is going to bring us, but it must ever be firstly on the same basis: not on the ground of ourselves and what we are or what we are not, but on the ground of what He is.
