Sam has known Shane forever. Period. She knows everything about him, and he knows everything about her. But when Shane turns up dead and the whole town calls it suicide, Sam knows something isn't right in her small town. Shane had a promising life, with no plans of death in his future.

As she tries to come to terms with his death and find the truth behind his suicide, she discovers a world that she never dreamed existed. With demons, ghosts, and a mysterious group of humans with dangerous motives becoming a new addition to her life she finds everything she believed in being ripped away. 

Loki, a dangerous and seductive demon, is hinting at a danger towards Sam's little sister, while planning to destroy the town in his free time. Sam is in a race against the clock, trying to protect her sister and stop the destruction of her home.

In the end can she manage to save her sister and protect the five members of the town council? Or will she end up another pawn in Loki's sinister game? To find out, she will have to remove his mask and defy everything she has ever known...
