“The Isle of Pines” story is a very interesting and fascinating. It tells us about the man whose name was Herman Deluse. Very little was known of his story, for he would neither speak of it himself nor suffer others. Somebody thought that he was a pirate because in his house there was a collection of boarding pikes, cutlasses, and ancient flintlock pistols. And also there was a myth that he has ancient gold hidden somewhere on the isle where his house was situated. When he died some of the “adventurers” tried to find something but failed. Anyway the mystery started to happen soon, when the Rev. Henry Galbraith, a well-known and highly esteemed Lutheran minister because of a huge storm, spent the night in the Deluse’s house. And he told that he saw Herman there who was walking back and forth looking for something. Mr. Robert Mosely Maren, a lawyer and litterateur of Columbus, decided that it was Henry’s dream and he didn’t believe in Mr. Galbraith’s words at all. But one day he was walking near the Deluse’s house and saw the light inside...
