The "Bento" is a Japanese lunch box, loved by generations of Japanese people. In this book, we introduce four types of Japanese bento boxes: "Onigiri Bento", "Okonomiyaki Bento", "Character Bento" and "Veg Bento." Some of them have been around for several decades, and through them, it is possible to experience the flavors which have been protected and improved. This cookbook includes lists of ingredients and recipes as well as some easy tips for making bento. Common ingredients, condiments, how to cook rice, and desserts suitable for Bento are also introduced inside the book. This is a window into the very stomaches of Japanese people- a must have for anyone with interest in Japanese cuisine.
