Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm were german folklorists who lived in the 18th-19th centuries. They are mostly famous for collecting and publishing fairy-tales. Nowadays it's hard to find a person who hasn't heard about Cinderella, Rapunzel or Snow White! 'The King Of The Golden Mountain' is a story about a merchant who used to be very rich until the day the ships with all his wealth on board sank. So the merchant became very poor with only a small plot of land left. He was in great sorrow when he met a black dwarf. The dwarf promised he would make the merchant rich again if he granted to give him the first thing that would touch his leg on arriving home. The merchant thought of his dog but forgot about his young son and was glad to seal the deal. What happened to the young boy and his father? Read 'The King Of The Golden Mountain' to know!
