Hesketh Vernon Prichard (1876-1922) was a British writer who became a significant sniper during the First World War. His first story was published in a newspaper for the price of one guinea. 'The Story Of Baelbrow' — is a short horror story first published in 'Pearson's Monthly Magazine' in 1898. The story is set on the East Anglian coast and it tells us about the Swaffman family who has lived in their family house 'Baelbrow' for hundreds of years. They say, a ghost resides in the house. He's never done anybody any harm… untill this moment. When strange murders begin, a supernatural detective is invited to investigate. Read this story and soak up the atmosphere of mystery!
