Book 3 charts the entity's encounter with the singular telepathic flounadget, the only survivor of a nuclear winter on a dead remote planet. The flounadget lives in an ocean of sulphuric acid and is tortured by the memories of the terrible things it did when the planet was inhabited before the wars.

Excerpt'

'The planet was already deserted and the wappy ding-do supposed that nothing could survive there.  The many species that travelled the cosmos knew the story of this planet and of the terrible wars that had raged there eons before. Climatic changes to the planet had left the silicon-based species that inhabited the world unable to sustain itself and the availability of natural resources critical for its survival dwindled.  City turned on city and great empires fell in one day as weapons using atomic energy creating profound fission and fusion reactions were unleashed in attack and counter attack. The nuclear winter and global cooling that followed was still evident and the impact of the meteorite had disturbed billions of tonnes of radioactive dust which filled the atmosphere again blocking out the already partially obscured sun.'
