The Boxer dog is one of the most loveable dogs around. What is amazing though is the fact that when looking at them you would not think so. They look quite rugged and even angry with their turned up nose and wide eyed stare. If you have never owned a Boxer dog and are planning on doing so the only warning I would give you is make sure you have time to spend with it. The Boxer is a dog that craves company. They will even go so far as to sit on your foot when you are standing at a bench or when you are sitting in your favorite lounge chair. And, if allowed, they will climb up on to your lap. This shows just how much they always remain a pup. They tend to think that the things they got away with as a pup should still be allowed them when they are a fully grown dog.

If you have children you will find them and the dog inseparable. Boxers absolutely love to play all day long and children are their natural playmates. If left to their own devices they can be a bit destructive and that is why you will see so many Boxer owners with two dogs so that they can keep each other company.
